Emma Doyle

Emma Doyle has worked in health information in England for more than 15 years and is currently the Head of Data Policy for NHS England which leads the National Health Service (NHS) in England and sets the priorities and direction of the NHS.  In her current role Emma is responsible for influencing policy to be ambitious in its approach to data and measurement and for ensuring that data is published in ways that support re-use and increase the reach and impact of that information.  Prior to this she was the first Head of Open Data and Transparency for NHS England and this is an agenda Emma retains in her current role. Emma has also worked for a healthcare regulator both operationally and leading policy work around the use of information, for a local organisation responsible for buying healthcare for its resident population and for NHS Choices (nhs.uk) the biggest health website in Europe, which now attracts around a million visits per day.
